Product Description

The legend and lightness of Valentino Rossi find an appropriate celebration in this book. The narrative thread of the book is precisely the humorous cartoons that Nico Cereghini, a former motorbike racer and journalist, has created and published since ’96: those that mocked Valentino and his fellow riders, from Biaggi to Màrquez. Forty in all, accompanied by an equal number of chapters written by the author himself to contextualise the events that inspired them and unfold the ribbon of Rossi’s history. The focus of this book is placed in particular on the first part of Valentino’s long career, the one that gave a glimpse of and then consecrated his extraordinary legend. It was since Agostini’s 15 titles that motorcycling had been looking for such a talent: the book takes us back to Vale’s time in Aprilia, to his last 500 title with Honda, to MotoGP, to the challenge he won with Yamaha, to the two-year period with Ducati, and to his return home. A different and original way of reliving with a smile a great page of motorcycling sport, the more than twenty years that have unfolded under the banner of Valentino. Preface by Pernat Carlo.
